Mark Thomas

Employee Mark Thomas Passed on 19th August 2001.

Mark started work in the galvanic department in the early 80's processing the cut lacquer, the starting process of manufacturing vinyl records. His passion was recording music and before long he was working full time in Festival Records studio facilities.
When I arrived at Festival Studio in 1986 Mark showed me the ropes and taught me the layouts of the audio post production facilities including how to load a tape machine, edit on 1/4" and 1/2" tape, use our Digital 1630 umatic editing, compiling Compact Disk masters and the recording process.
The Festival Records studio team were always close, Mark and I often shared a lunch at the Quarrymans Hotel Pyrmont.
